                            WOOL

Wool Art works ( I call them "Woolings" ) are created by first developing a knitting chart and code from an original drawing, photo or other media.  Charting and coding is the creative process essential to the character of the finished work.  The coloured pencils I use for my charts are Prismacolor. There are 120 different colours available. With the ability to blend colours together, the colours are boundless.

All my work is made of the highest quality wools procured from the Brown Sheep  wool company of Nebraska and an array of custom coloured wools, produced by my custom spinner, to enhance the artistic range of my palette.   My knitting supplies come from  Anglika's Yarn Store in Lakeside Oregon and Soft Horizons in Eugene Oregon.

                           GRAPHITE

The paper medium I use is Strathmore Bristol, an acid free, two-ply heavy weight Vellum.

The graphite I use is imported English Derwent Graphite Pencils from 9H to 9B for the utmost range of tonal quality. Derwent has been producing some of the world’s finest drawing media since 1832.

I use Blair fixative to protect my graphite drawings from smudges and bleeding.  Blair is a non-yellowing matt spray that  does not alter the texture or technique of the drawing.
